The University of Illinois has a rich football tradition. Since it's inception in 1890, the Illini have won five national titles, fifteen Big Ten titles, and have appeared in 15 bowl games, including five trips to the coveted Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, and two BCS bowl berths.
